Colors, Gems, and random things to make you feel great for Valentine's Day!

Well its fast approaching time for Valentine's day! (we're all jittery for one reason or another!) Everyone's making reservations, or getting time off work, finding romantic movies in theaters, (I think "The Vow" looks great!), or for the single's trying to hide out from the froofy, mushy holiday. Well, for some of you who would like to go a little above and beyond, but do so simply, why not add some jewelry aimed toward, love, lust and passion? or perhaps take a bath with herbs to make your skin glow or feel soft, or just smell amazing? There are lots of things like this that you can do!

To start, garnets are great for courage and is known as the main stone of love just what you all wanted to hear right? It's also good for compassion. So, the possibilities are almost endless! even better, huh? The best and most common ways to use them, would be a necklace or bracelet, but be warned they are strong, don't over do it! my best suggestion is a pair of earrings, which are also the easiest to find with garnets.

Another stone is a ruby. Now don't get to excited, its not as powerful as a garnet, but it is good for smoothing relationships, so can't decide or agree on how your Valentine's day should go? just care a ruby in your pocket for a couple days and keep an open mind an things should work themselves out fine. Be warned, there are some theories that also say rubies can restrain lust, so if you think you need it, you may want to find something to try and help keep the passions flowing for the holiday.

Carnelian is fantastic for those looking for a little confidence boost, not to mention courage. Its also a good stone to balance the ruby, if you know what I mean ;-) On a different note, its also great for ambition, and supposed to be good for getting new jobs! Yep, you read that right!

Quartz of any sort is helpful. Most just open your mind to more possibilities, but rose quartz, is very popular, especially for love spells ;-) Quartz are also easy to find and cheap! It can balance you emotionally, and for dire needs, can help you learn to love yourself as much as others do.

Now, all the stones are great, make beautiful jewelery, (notice all or red, or pink shades?), but there's more out there you can work with. Colors are the most used. Its everywhere that you see white, red and pink in shapes of hearts, or red roses, so it's only fitting that red is special. Red is passionate,, bringing on your passion, lust, love, courage and career ambition. Now as bright, and heart wrenching of a color as red is, pink is more subtle, but not less helpful. It brings out more of the romantc love, affection, caring, successful marriage, and strong, healthy emotions, (hard to find in these times with stress and anger.) For something a little more for yourself, yellows are strong for charm, attraction, and confidence, you can never have too much self confidence!

So, you've got jewelery possibilities, clothing colors to aim for, now how about smelling good, and feeling good? Rosemary could be just the ticket you need. Use it in a bath or tea, and not only does it smell good, its helpful for love, stress relief, remembering that one for the whole year now aren't you? Now want something a little more feminine scented, look no further than lavender. Baths are the best idea for that, aiding love, beauty, and relaxation.
